i’ll be honest…i’ve had a hard time preparing this sneak peek blog post for audrie and josh’s aldridge gardens wedding. it’s not that it wasn’t a gorgeous day or a day teeming with emotion; in fact, it’s quite the opposite. every time i sit down to write, i feel like my words fall short of being able to encapsulate the sacred beauty of all that i witnessed. so rather than ramble on, i think i’ll leave you with a host of photographs that tell one of the most perfect stories i’ve ever known. congratulations, my sweet friends.

i’d like to interrupt this stream of goodness to share a little story about the following photographs. when the minister (audrie’s brother) asked who was giving this bride to be married, audrie’s father spent the next several minutes sharing about how seriously he had taken the responsibility of holding her hand and guiding her through life…

then he spoke about how he and audrie’s mother had fervently prayed for the man who would one day take over that precious responsibility of holding her hand in love and covenant marriage…

and, finally, he closed by saying that he knew without a shadow of a doubt that the man standing beside him was proof of the lord’s faithfulness to those years of praying, and so he could now joyfully give his precious daughter’s hand in marriage. oh, the joy of seeing a daughter and bride loved so well!
