it’s what makes them who they are…their story. for some, it’s a whirlwind that caught them up unexpectedly and ended in love. for others, it’s a long distance romance that is finally, joyfully playing out in the same city. but their story? no, it’s not like any of those. for them, the road leading to mr. and mrs. spanned more than nine years…nearly half their lives. so as she slipped into her gown and he buttoned his coat that morning, the rest of us realized that we were about to witness a day teeming with emotion and life, a day to mark a beautiful new chapter in the story of nikki and chase.

and now, for my favorite part of their day…
three days before their wedding, nikki was mulling over ideas for their private dinner between the ceremony and reception, and she thought it would be special to somehow incorporate the vintage china they were inheriting. before long, this whole gorgeous fairytale had emerged as they incorporated pieces from throughout their grandparents’ house into a perfectly quaint dinner in the forest.

and then it was off to the party! hothouse design studio, olexa’s, and happy catering went above and beyond to transform the space into a warm, welcoming area that made the guests feel like they were dining with old friends in a cozy living room. bravo!!!
