she had such a vision for what she wanted the emotion of her bridal session to be…romantic, floral, and all-things-girly. so her uber-fabulous wedding planner, anita, and i were disappointed to see the dark clouds rolling in heavy over the usually-gorgeous birmingham botanical gardens. a few light drops fell here and there, but we all decided that we’d stick close to cover and get as much done as we could. the result? gillian looked so beautiful and radiant that she easily outshone any darkness the clouds tried to bring.
but the pretty hardly stopped there. just two days later she was back in her custom-designed gown and surrounded by friends and family from afar as she married her best friend at a lovely evening ceremony at the donnelly house.
their first look was full of laughter and tears…
but the nerves soon settled and they enjoyed a few minutes of photos with just the two of them.
before long, the time had come for the pinnacle of the evening. her way was prepared…
and if you looked closely through the trees, you could see her off in the distance making her way toward the man who was soon to become her husband.
and this? this is the face of a man who’s proud to walk back up the aisle with his new wife on his arm.
gillian and chris, i pray that you have a long marriage that’s full of laughter and joy (and baby goldendoodles, of course!). 😉
with tremendous thanks to an incredible team…
