there are certainly times when i have an existing, long-term relationship with a bride and groom before i ever snap the first picture, but more often than not, i know them more through a few coffee chats and a load of phone calls and emails. jessica and john are kind of in the middle of those extremes. i first met them when jessica was a bridesmaid in amy and david’s wedding last year. she and john were just beginning plans on their own wedding and she was searching for the photographer that she would choose to document their perfect day. i suppose i was just in the right place at the right time because shortly after amy’s beautiful wedding, jessica was one of my new brides. although i’d known her for nine months by the time her wedding weekend arrived, i was still pretty limited in what i really knew about her relationship with john.

cue the rehearsal dinner…

they ate amazing food, they laughed at funny stories, and they cried at the overwhelming love that surrounded them on every side. and me? i was lucky enough to have a front-row seat to watch it all unfold.
