it will go down in allison lewis photography history as one of the weirdest and wildest shoots ever. he flew in, she drove in, it rained virtually the whole time, and we wrapped the session amidst a flock of donkeys and alpacas.

oh, and did i mention the fainting goat? it’s not urban legend, people…this stuff really happens (while goat friends look on helplessly).

but among the wacky fun and the dreary weather was a sweet glimmer of love. the military life doesn’t leave much room for together when you live so far apart, and so on a whim, the spring 2014 wedding became a summer 2013 wedding, and i’m so glad it did because i can’t wait for these two to become husband and wife.

laura and mark, i’m so thankful for the opportunity to share in your engagement and your wedding this summer. you were such great sports and a blast to work with!! i’ll meet you on the beach in august – and i promise to leave the alpacas at home. 😉

this post would not be complete without a huge shout-out to jeannette (aka “the-one-who-followed-me-around-holding-an-umbrella-over-my-head” and mark-who-lives-here. thank you, thank you, thank you for helping to make this session happen!!!
