it seems fitting that i’m posting a sneak peek of their photos just after thanksgiving. she was, after all, one of the most appreciative brides i’ve ever met. i joined them here in birmingham to shoot their engagement photos…she thanked me several times throughout the session. i emailed a list of pre-wedding questions…she answered quickly and followed with a note of appreciation. and last but certainly not least, i spent a fabulous wedding day with them, their families, and friends, and she texted me immediately after they left their reception…thank you so much for everything, allison!!!!!!!!!! (multiple exclamation points and all) i mean, who does that?!? this beautiful girl…that’s who.

amy and david had such a sweet time of seeing one another to start their wedding day. you can probably tell this by the look on his face, but david’s repeated response when he saw amy was simple but perfect, wow, you look amazing!!

we spent some time shooting with just the two of them…

and then we moved to photos with their wedding party. amy’s bridesmaids were delightful and gorgeous…

while david’s groomsmen kept the day full of crazy fun and laughter.

the sun began to move in the sky and before long, the time had arrived for the joining of their lives in a beautiful ceremony at st. columba catholic church.

and whereas they had entered their ceremony as two, they left as one. then soon a whole host of family and friends waited to greet them for a sunset celebration at the dothan area botanical gardens.

and let me tell you, these people know how to throw a party! i’m not sure i’ve ever been so tempted to toss my camera and join everybody on the dance floor. 😉

amy and david, during this month of thankfulness, i’m thankful for YOU. you’ve been a joy to work with, and i’m so grateful i had the opportunity to share a small part in your perfect wedding day. much love to you!!

with many thanks…

Thank you so much for the sneak preview. I’ve heard it said many times by David’s Mom, what a sweetheart Amy is and I just love that you recognized her huge and grateful heart too. These two young adults are GORGEOUS!! What more can I say? Plus the venue, colors, everything is beautiful. Gorgeous wedding party and people at the wedding… Exactly what every couple hopes for on their wedding day. It brought tears to my eyes!! Really nice photography too!!! Praying that God will richly bless David and Amy with many happy, fulfilling years of life together.
