it’s one of the highest compliments that a photographer could receive…the bridesmaid of one wedding booking as the bride of another.  i first worked with lea when she stood beside emilee on her wedding day earlier this year, and i was honored when she asked me to shoot her own wedding last weekend in dothan.  her morning began at the church with her mom and bridesmaids…

the sun was really bright at the time of day we were shooting but we were able to find a few pockets of perfect light that made for gorgeous portraits.

lea and josh’s ceremony took place in the beautiful sanctuary of first united methodist church (HOORAY…we’re married now!)…

and then it was just a short vintage firetruck ride to the dothan country club for the reception.

confession time: i may or may not have a serious chocolate-covered-anything addiction (that’s exacerbated by pregnancy). so brides, from here on out don’t be surprised if you find some small print in your contracts requiring the presence of a multi-tiered fondue fountain at your wedding reception.

after hours of celebrating with family and friends…

lea briefly left to change into her going-away outfit (which just so happened to be the same dress her grandmother wore 40 years ago). the moment her grandmother saw her in it for the first time literally brought tears to my eyes.

lea and josh danced one last dance…

and then made their way to the waiting limo through a sea of colored rose petals.

lea and josh, thank you so much for trusting me with capturing the beauty of your wedding day. and anna, thank you so much for dealing all weekend with an almost eight-months-pregnant gal with a major chocolate obsession (with the chocolate-covered-mouth-corners to prove it)! 😉
