it’s the word that kept leaving my mouth over and over throughout the day. exquisite. everything about their day was simply gorgeous – the details, the flowers, the cake…and without a doubt, the bride. kimberly and stephen began the afternoon separately with their families and friends dressing for the night to come…

and with the stroke of the hour, it was time for the groom to see his bride.

kimberly and stephen’s private moments together reminded me why i love first looks and second-shooters so much.

anna and i took these photos just a couple of seconds apart from different angles (and perhaps it’s true that i actually love anna’s vantage point on the left even better than my own)… 😉

then spurred on by the excitement, relief, and contentment of a quiet time together before the busyness of the day, it was time to play.

but this day was about far more than photographs; it was about the joining of two lives. kimberly and stephen’s ceremony was beautifully perfect in every way possible…

and it was immediately followed by an awesome time of celebration with their families and friends.

kimberly and stephen, thank you so much for the honor of documenting your amazing wedding day. as i said before, every detail was absolutely perfect, amazing, and beautiful. i guess you could say it was simply exquisite.

on a personal note, i have some huge thank-yous to offer to people who did so much to help make kimberly and stephen’s day run so smoothly. brides, if you’re looking for the no-stress way to get married, call becky baker. that girl can run a show and she’s fantastic at what she does. and to anna, i’m convinced that i didn’t go into labor simply because of the 57 bottles of water you shoved in my face during those almost-100-degree hours we spent outside. you’re priceless in more ways than i could count. and finally, brandy of something beautiful studio & design stepped up in a huge way to solve a last-minute venue issue and allowed us full access to her studio to get ready for the day. gorgeous!!!
