she got caught up at work and wasn’t able to make it for the beginning of our first meeting, so i sat across from him in a crowded coffee house and listened and watched. i listened as he told the story of how they met and how he knew early on that he wanted to ask her to be his wife. and i watched as his eyes danced with every word. i didn’t need him to tell me he loves her – it was written all over him.

little did i know when i walked out of the coffee shop that night that i would get a front row seat to one of the most precious love stories i’ve ever seen – one that god began writing long before they met. in preparation to marry brantley, meredith began the morning in prayer with her best friends and family. she went from there to have her hair and makeup done (and yes, she did have two gorgeous pairs of shoes for the day)…

and by late morning, she emerged a stunning and glowing bride who was matched by a dashing groom.

meredith and brantley spent the day surrounded by a host of family and friends who love them dearly and who have encouraged them throughout their relationship. meredith’s bridesmaides were gorgeous and sweet…

but they were not to be outdone by the guys who were 100% lively and hysterical. these groomsmen kept us in stitches (thank you, anna, for the behind-the-scenes look at the impromptu “wet willy” shot)…

but as fabulous as each was individually, they pale in comparison to meredith and brantley together who committed their lives to one another in a beautiful ceremony at mcelwain baptist church.

before their reception, they stole away for some quiet time alone…

and then danced for the first time together as husband and wife.

once they got word that the car had arrived, they made their way outside amidst a flurry of confetti…

and into a killer vintage mercedes provided by coats classic cars.

meredith and brantley, i’ve loved every minute of planning and shooting your wedding day (including the countless late-night email chats we’ve had over the last few months), and i’m so thankful to you for letting me share in such a precious time in your lives. congratulations, my friends!!

(and again, my second-shooter, anna, made the day a breeze with her calm, sweet, super-shots goodness. thank you, hon!!)
