may 14, 2011. we drug ourselves off the plane from our second 33-hour trip home from ethiopia. we stood at our gate, showered with love and shouts of welcome home from our family and friends. the baby in our arms was scared and overwhelmed…but he was ours.
august 21, 2011. we raced into the airport after a short drive from home. we stood at the very gate we had been at just three months earlier and showered our friends with love and shouts of welcome home. the baby in our arms was giggly and excited…he knew he was ours.
a lot’s changed since we met that sickly seven-month-old in an ethiopian orphanage in february.
and for that i’m so thankful.
