she was in town from savannah interviewing vendors for her upcoming wedding.  she had run across some of my photographs from an old high school friend’s wedding and called to see if by chance i was available to meet.  we sat down to coffee, and by the end of the night we were chatting and laughing like we had known each other far longer than the hour we had.  this past week we met again – this time with her fiancé, paul – for the first of around two thousand photographs that i’ll have the honor of taking of this incredible couple.

i always want my pictures to be a perfect reflection of who the couple is – both in style and in design – and like i did with molly, having the opportunity to really talk through it all with a bride before her engagement session is such a help in forming the plan for the day.  when they walked out in these outfits, i told her it was as if she had crawled into my brain and had dressed in exactly what i had envisioned.

i adore everything about them in the pictures above, but in these next ones, it’s like they’re totally unaware of anyone else in the world – perfect.

without question, though, my favorite thing about shooting with molly and paul is that they laugh – a lot. actually, molly laughs a lot – i think paul’s mostly entertained by his beautiful fiancée.

molly and paul, i don’t think that january 2012 can come fast enough. i’m so thrilled that i’ll be able to celebrate your wedding day with you and capture the first day of the rest of your lives together.
